Reiki

 

 

 

Reiki is  a Japanese word for Universal Life Energy.  Rei means Universal and Ki means Life Force Energy.  Reiki is the energy found throughout the universe.  This Universal Life Force Energy can be transferred from the Universe through a Reiki Practitioner  to a recipient in order to promote relaxation and healing. 

 

During a Reiki treatment, the receiver is clothed.  The Reiki Practitioner uses Reiki by placing the hands directly on the person.  The Reiki Practitioner serves as a clear channel for the flow of Reiki from the Universe to the client.  Reiki flows quite naturally when the hands are placed on or near the client's body.  Reiki assists in re-establishing balance in the body and stimulates the body's own innate wisdom to heal.  It helps calm the emotions, induce relaxation and restore peace. 

 

A Reiki session takes about one hour.  To prepare for a Reiki treatment, dress in loose, comfortable clothing.  Natural fiber clothing is recommended.
